NYS has changed its Abandoned Property law from 3 to 5 years.
We have begun notifying our members when their account
 becomes dormant by 2 years.  This will give ample time to
 re-activate your account before it is turned over as abandoned
 property. If you receive a notice, please make a transaction on
your savings or return your letter with your signature
 that you want your account.

           

Share Accounts

Shares (deposit) Accounts

The Niagara Falls Air Force FCU offers a wide variety of savings and term deposit accounts to help you save and plan for your future. All of our deposits are federally insured up to $250,000 by the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF), which means your money is safe. This fund is administered by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), an independent agency of the US Government. Take a look at the following types.

Shares Accounts (Savings)

The share savings account serves as your share of the ownership in the credit union. The dividend rate and percentage yield may change every quarter. Dividends are calculated by the average daily balance method and a minimum of $250.00 is required to obtain the disclosed annual percentage yield. Comprehensive statements are provided quarterly.

Money Market Accounts (Savings)

The Money Market account is another form of savings, but offers a higher rate of interest and is paid on a monthly basis. You must maintain a minimum balance of $2,500. If balance exceeds $20,000 a higher rate will apply.

Share Draft Accounts (Checking)

A share draft account means a hassle-free checking account. There are:

• No monthly service fees
• No minimum balance required
• No per check charges

The share draft account is offered to members who are at least 18 years old.

Share Certificates

The Niagara Falls Air Force FCU offers a variety of certificate programs to lock in a great rate while choosing a term that best fits your investing needs. Terms range from 6 months to 36 months, with a minimum deposit as low as $1,000.

There is no limit to the number of share certificates a member may own. You can not make additional deposits into existing accounts. Early withdrawal on certificates are subject to a dividend penalty. (See Share Rates)

Club Accounts

Our club accounts earn dividends while providing and easy and systematic way to build extra holiday funds or save for that well deserved getaway.
